One may wonder why song bird Simi deleted post after an aggrieved lady made a remark about it. According to Linda Ikeji "Nigerian singer, Simi has been forced to take down the video of Kizz Daniel's #FvckYouChallenge she did on Instagram.

In the video, Simi used a  derogatory 'tribal' lyric which model, Adetutu found offensive and called her out.

Female celebrities who should be married in 2018

Rita Dominic should be number one of the celebrities who should be married already in 2018. One could wonder if their interest in marriage is fading away like their career, or they are just diffioin finding the right man. Genevieve Nnaji and Lind Ikeji are still on that list while others like Tonto Dike crashed out of their marriage already. We hope the wedding bells ring soon.

BUHARI’S CABINET: 33 MINISTERIAL NOMINEES FAIL CORRUPTION TEST

INDICATIONS emerged at the weekend that the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to announce ministers after nearly two months of assuming office is not unconnected with the alleged malfeasance, fraud and misappropriation of funds traced to most of the ministerial nominees.
The revelations by investigation teams reportedly revealed shocking security reports on the alleged fraud and misappropriation of funds by 33 nominees short-listed by President Muhammadu Buhari, with only three said to have passed the corruption test

Out of the 36 ministerial nominees penciled in and those submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) hierarchy and sent to the DSS, EFCC, ICPC, CBN, the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), and the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) for forensic screening, only three nominees came out unscathed.
President Buhari had insisted that he wanted to appoint people without corruption baggage that could taint administration and inhibit his anti-corruption drive.
Our correspondent gathered that the president was dumbfounded as to the mind-boggling amount of money quantified in several transactions cutting across several sectors of the economy, including oil and gas, finance, power, governance and infrastructural commitments, where the persons involved failed the nation, thus contributing to its current decadence.
Consequently, President Buhari is said to have rescheduled the new date for the submission of his list of ministerial nominees to the Senate for approval to September, during which it is hoped that he would have prepared a new list that will be screened and those that scaled the integrity huddle, presented for confirmation.
A source said: “Buhari has said anybody with skeleton in the closet will not work with him irrespective of the role he or she played. If such persons are around him, it means he may be pressurised to compromise his principled stance”.
“So they are trying to push him to a corner, because the truth is that they cannot seem to read or understand his body language. They have now seen that Buhari is ready to sacrifice anybody for Nigeria to move forward”, the source stated.

Charlie Boy, Felix Duke and others rise up for Majek Fashek

This may be the most passionate move made to support the Rain maker, Majek Fashek who is now a shadow of his old self by his colleagues, championed by the likes of Charlie boy, Felix Duke and others. The campaign goes with with a write up titled "HEALING OUR 'RAIN MAKER'.
It reads...
The worst thing we can do is stand and watch when we see someone struggling in agony, especially when their pain is self inflicted.

Many of us remember Majek Fashek.
A multi talented artist of international repute whose hit rendition "Send Down The Rain" still does exactly that anytime it is played: sending the shivers down our spines. It used to be my favorite song from his album and till today, I can sing his lyrics many years after.
He brewed that song right in my studio in Oguta, in the seven months he spent with me there as an in-house producer.

It is no longer news that the rain maker is a sorry shadow of himself plagued by issues larger than his self discipline.
I remember this very handsome man with a good heart and it's no surprise that we had worked together a long time ago at the start of his beautiful but truncated music career. He was so promising, so full of dreams that it breaks my heart to see him so degenerated and entirely disconnected.
Looking at him now, I say to myself, it could have been me or any of us.

It has been a very bumpy ride to my present location and the success attained so far. Everyone knows by now that I had a very turbulent teenage life; the spirit of adventurism, curiosity and trying everything nearly led me to self destruct and to very dark places.
I experimented with drugs quite early, but seeing what it did to my relatives, friends and the people I had loved from afar, I knew it wasn't for me. It was only by His grace that I freed myself from the calamity waiting to happen.

Yes, my guys, I have been there, done that, seen that and I have finally decided to pursue a cleaner life style. I have my strong Christian background to be thankful to, my new found Buddhism to appreciate for the discipline I have learnt over the years. While you may give me a standing ovation for walking through that long dark tunnel and coming out unscathed, I thank God for His mercies, and pat myself on the back for the willpower to fight all the negatives I was once involved with.
Some of us are not so lucky to imbibe self discipline for things that are destructive to us, but then, that doesn't necessarily make those of us better human beings for being able to!

It is therapeutic for me to share a little bit of myself with you, not just as Charlyboy, but as a friend, a big brother, a mentor to many and also as someone who remains passionately committed to sharing with people my own life lessons with the intent of re-activating in them the power of tenacity, focus, consistency and above all, a belief in self.
Yesooooo I experimented/struggled with substance abuse myself, and I'm proud and happy to say that I have remained clean for the past 35 years. Now if I can do it, many of you out there can!
Many may look at me and in disbelief, argue that there is no way anyone in my profession can possess such creative dexterity without being high on some kinda substance.
Shame on them!
I never drank alcohol, I no longer smoke cigarettes, and I'm a gym rat and a health freak.
Because I know better.

What really bothers me about addiction and mental illness in this neck of the woods, is the ugly stigmatization that comes with it. People believe you are either under some form of spiritual or demonic attack or that you lack the discipline to put your self in check. Most of us never see it as a form of medical imbalance that requires treatment by a professional; just like one would treat malaria, ulcer, cancer, and even toothache.
Addiction is no different.

I know it can be a huge heartache watching someone you love struggle with an addiction or have a mental illness but the good news it that it is curable. When we show more love as parents, as friends, associates, spouses, brothers or sisters, we help the people going through this struggle feel good about themselves.
One of my favorite quotes is that People will easily forget what you say to them, or what you do for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

Majek Fashek is our own, let's see how we can heal our rain maker who needs all the love and understanding he can get right now. I know quite a few well meaning Nigerians have contributed to his rehabilitation, but I still encourage the few who are determined to see the healing of this great musician become reality.
God will give us the strength and guidance.
It is well.

It is our collective effort to help rehabilitate him as a social responsibility of fighting this hard drug menace that is wasting so many of our youths. I know a lot of you might ask what if he doesn't want help? Then I ask what if he does but doesn't know how to? If Mohammed won't go to the mountain, shouldn't the mountain go to Mohammed?

And on that note, my parting word to anyone out there struggling with an addiction of any kind, just know that you can be the best you want to be.
You can be as weird, as different, as creatively crazy as you want to be still, by staying clean, responsible and very focused.
Just say no to polluting your body and yes to clean living. When saying No is no longer an option, help is available and you don't have to do it on your own.

Madam Buhari just cant wait, RELOCATES TO ASO ROCK AHEAD OF HUSBAND

Most dailies and blogs has it that the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, has relocated to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, barely three weeks after President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration was inaugurated.

Since they were inaugurated, Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo have been operating from outside the Presidential Villa.
This is despite the fact that both men have their official residences and offices inside the Villa.
Both of them have been operating from their private residences as well as the Defence House, official residence of the President-elect located at Maitama District, Abuja. While

MILITARY ALONE CAN’T END INSURGENCY, THEN WHO WILL – ASK OBASANJO

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said the use of only military operations to tackle Boko Haram activities in Nigeria and other violent groups across the world cannot end insurgency.
A statement on Friday by the African Export-Import Bank, indicated that the former president said this during the bank’s 22nd Annual General Meeting held in Lusaka, Zambia.
Obasanjo, speaking about conflicts in Africa, also said the crises werecaused by failure to address certain social problems in the society such as educational disparity.
Afrixembank’s spokesman, Obi Emekekwue quoted Obasanjo in the statement thus, “He proposed a carrot and stick solution to the conflicts on the continent through an approach involving military solutions and social development since a purely military approach would not work.
“According to Obasanjo, a situation, such as in Nigeria, where one section had an educational attainment level of 79 per cent while another had only 19 per cent, created room for conflict.”
The former president also called on Nigeria and other African countries to pursue economic integration on the basis of regional economic communities rather than doing so with the over 54 countries on the continent.

He noted that by pursuing economic growth, each region of the continent would serve as platforms to strengthen Africa.

In a wide-ranging discussion, the ex-president stressed the importance of infrastructure in promoting intra-African trade and called for the establishment of a viable well-run coastal shipping line from Dakar in Senegal to Maputo in Mozambique to improve intra-African trade.
Obasanjo stated further that while Nigeria and other nations on the continent should encourage the local production of goods, they should also encourage and develop the process of moving those goods.
The statement added, “Former President Obasanjo added that Africa should start adding value to its commodities rather than exporting raw commodities only for those commodities to be sent back to the continent as finished goods.”
Meanwhile, the Afreximbank on Saturday announced the appointment of Benedict Oramah as its new boss.

Oramah’s appointment was one of the key decisions taken during the bank’s AGM.
“Dr. Oramah takes over from Jean-Louis Ekra, who has been the bank’s chief executive officer since 2005. Oramah, a Nigerian national, has served as Executive Vice President in charge of Business Development and Corporate Banking at Afreximbank since 2008. He was a pioneer staff of the bank, which he joined in 1994 as Chief Analyst, rising to the position of Senior Director, Planning and Business Development Department in 2007. He previously served as Assistant Manager (Research) at the Nigerian Export-Import Bank from 1992 to 1994,” the statement said.

Reason Why Oba Akinolu wanted Ambode by all means

AMBODE’S ADC IS OBA AKIOLU’S SON!
 According to City Peolpe,
Just after the swearing in of the newly elected public servants in Nigeria, many high ranking police officers have been appointed as ADC (AIDE-DE-CAMP). As you read this, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has also got one and he is Deputy Superintendent of Police, Olumide Raheem. He is one of the step sons of Oba Rilwan Akinolu, the Oba of Lagos. Olumide is the first son of Olori Titi Akiolu, who is the last wife of Oba Akiolu. They got married many years ago after Olori Titi lost her first husband.

Though they never bore any children among themselves our source revealed to us that, it may be so hard for anyone to know that Olumide is not Oba Akiolu’s biological son. This is because Oba Akiolu has always assumed the role of a father to all Olori Titi’s children. “They have been married for over 18 years and even all the 3 Oloris love Olori Titi, because of her calm nature. “You know tradition permits Kabiyesi to marry as many wives he wants. There is no jealousy in the palace (Ko si oowu Lafin)“ revealed our source.
DSP Olumide Raheem was a former Divisional Crime Officer of Bode Thomas Police Station. He also has a robust education. He attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania in United States of America and read Computer Information System. He later proceeded to Northumbia University to read Sociology in United States. He has since assumed the duty and he was sighted with the Governor when he stormed Iyana Ipaja, Alimosho Area which was the scene of the fire incident that occured last week.
