MALAM STYLE by B. Hai (GANGNAM STYLE NAIJA VERSION)

 It might have been long since we heard a legendary hit song with a typical Northern Nigerian swag after the reign of Kai, stof’am, flay am again; by Aladin Sani.  Indeed, that swag is back with a London beat from the Gynam style fame, which happened to be the most viewed song in youtube. Some other artists might have done their own version of the song, but none is as unique as this one done by one of Nigeria’s movie makers cum music artist, B. hai. This is MALAM STYLE, that type of flow that justifies the sound in a comic manner, yet maintaining the pop nature.

Hai is a popular film maker who has worked with several Nigerian artists including Mr Raw, late MC Loph, Flavour, Kennies music Joe El, Capital Femi, Ruggedman, Soultan, etc.  He has also featured in several songs like Hussle go pay remix by Kennies music’s Juke box, Soultans’ aboki, to mention but few.




Her interest in music business was not all about being linked to music stars like Wizkid and Iyanya, she has indeed proven to be in the business her self. Tonto, aka Poko indeed has taken every one by surprise by storming the industry again with another single, Jeje, which no doubt is a huge improvement and a likely street hit.

wow... wow... he can really sing! Naija, we need to stop discouraging people from using their voices, no one would have heard of Iyanya if he did not sing Kukere, but that song does NOTHING for his voice!! We need to stop insisting that our stars only do party jams, but also songs with depth, meaning, class and vocal talent!!

Iyanya, only few NIgerians from the past and present can lay claim to having raw, real and genuine talent in the general act of music i.e. Singing and Performing. You are an ABSOLUTE TALENT. World Class. I don't do secular music, but in Nigeria, at the moment, vocal-wise, and as an all-rounder, in my opinion, you are second to None. Top Class. However, with greater and more influencing lyrics employed, I see you becoming a LEGEND.

After the release of Tonto Dike’s musical single, Itzova, which download skyrocketed only to be massively criticized, nothing much has been heard of Nollywood music cross-overs. Except Kossy who recently released her debut album during the Christmas holiday. Kossy we all know has been doubling music with acting, but has never really taken it very serious until the album release. The gist is that another Nollywood actress, Jennifer Eliogu, is at it with a brand new single, titled You & I. Review actually think its good. Check it!

Neutral Ave's love for music is un-discribeable, being the reason why he is keeping it real with the game. He has traveled far and wide, and no doubt successful in other areas of endevour, making it obvious that doing music is not for monetary gain, but for undiluted expression of talent. His voice and kind of music is definitely one of a kind, giving the established artists a run for their stardom. Jejeli-nwayoli is the song, a rhythm which Neutral has brought along to take his place in the ever growing Nigerian music industry. Check it!
